Birth:

Cordelia Larsen was born in Astoria, Oregon to Karl Larsen and the Goddess Freyja on August 26th. Karl was a Norway-born mercenary and the owner of a PMC (Private Military Company) known as Bifrost, which hired mercenaries and aided in war campaigns around the world. He met Freyja during a secret mission in Latvia. They had a very quick, intense romance that led to Cordelia's conception, but Freyja disappeared.

After Freyja disappeared, Karl got on with his life. He married a German businesswoman named Sylvia Larsen (nee Gesner). They settled in Washington, DC, with Karl working as a defense contractor for the Government.

Karl Larsen, Cordelia's father

Cordelia was given to Karl spontaneously. At first, Karl doubted it was his daughter, but a DNA test showed that it was - that, and the resemblance was fairly undeniable. He was given a beautiful baby daughter, who grew up to be quite the problem child.

Early Life:

Cordelia had proven to be quite combative and challenging as a child, always questioning her parents' authority. This especially caused friction with Karl's wife and Cordelia's adoptive mother, Sylvia, who Cordelia seemed especially hostile towards. This led to his wife repeatedly trying to give Cordelia away, but such attempts were always vetoed by her father. Karl felt a strange sense of responsibility to his daughter, had a feeling she was destined for something great.

As Cordelia grew up, her personality became less overly hostile and more cold. She warmed up to her father, but never to her mother. Cordelia quickly became a daddy's girl, and of course Karl couldn't help but spoil her. However, as she reached adolescence, her mother was secretly plotting to have her taken away. At the age of thirteen, Sylvia managed to convince Karl to send Cordelia to Madam Fride's Academy for Girls, a remote compound for troubled youth in Norway. Although Karl loved Cordelia, he admitted she had serious behavioral issues, and had her sent to the Academy.

Life at the Academy:

It turns out, Madam Fride's Academy for Girls wasn't a normal academy.

Advertisements presented it as a strict but healthy growing environment for troubled young women. But really, it was a slave camp run by fire giants in order to power a grand machine to tear open a hole in reality to Muspelheim.

Cordelia stayed in this slave camp for a year, not being allowed to contact her parents or her friends. However, Cordelia made friends in the camp. Alliances. She'd always been very sociable, and she eventually staged a revolt. Although she had dozens of girls on her side, they were no match for the fire giants.

Madam Fride's Academy for Girls

Luckily, they were saved at the last second. A legion of Valkyries led by Brunhilde saved Cordelia and her friends, and a battle ensued that led the school to ruin. After the battle, Brunhilde told Cordelia about her heritage: that she is not a normal mortal, but a Scion, the offspring of a deity and a mortal. Her mother is Freyja, goddess of War and Queen of the Valkyries, and they've come to train her to be a shieldmaiden. Her training began after the rescue, and she wouldn't return home until years later.

Life as a Shield Maiden:

For years, Cordelia trained in the art of combat and warfare, both modern and ancient. She was trained in multiple martial arts. Her training took a whole year, and at the age of sixteen, she was a full-fledged Shield-Maiden and trainee Valkyrie.

As a shield-maiden, she went on adventures all over the Nine Realms. Her, her small entourage of Shield-Maidens, and her Valkyrie "horse" Seig, saved countless people. For years, she fought monsters, saved villages and towns, and even went toe-to-toe with Gods, getting stronger and more experienced with each quest. When she was nineteen, her tenure as a shield-maiden came to an end, and she returned home.

By the time she returned, her father had assumed she'd gone missing, or died in the massive battle that happened at Madam Friede's. Stricken with grief, he retired and became a husk of a man, though this was mostly due to the manipulations of his wife. From her journies, Cordelia learned how to see through illusions, and came to find out that her adoptive mother is really Loki in disguise, who sought to use Bifrost's power to secure an artifact that would allow him to steal Gungnir from Odin.

Cordelia, now older and wiser, managed to stop Loki and save her father's company and the Nine Realms. Her and her father reunited and Karl finally understood Cordelia's great destiny. They parted ways again, but still keep in contact.

Now Cordelia works as a swimsuit and fitness model, as well as a mercenary for the Nine Realms. She always seeks to make her mother proud, even though they've never met.

Tyrfing:

A magic sword given to her by Sigrun, and her main weapon. Tyrfing was forged by dwarves and was once wielded by the king Svafrlami. Because it is forged by dwarves, it has supernatural properties, such as being more durable than normal steel and being able to cut through nearly anything. It also allows Cordelia to channel her mother's power over War.

Sig:

Cordelia's "horse", given to her when she became a trainee valkyrie. A valkyrie's horse isn't a horse at all, but rather a giant wolf with supernatural powers. Sig and Cordelia are able to communicate telepathically, and Sig has the ability to track spirits of the dead. Sig can also fly at speeds of five hundred miles per hour, and is about as durable as a tank. All of this is in addition to what you'd expect from a giant wolf.

Kjottoks:

A massive, golden, double-headed battleaxe also given to her by Sigrun. Kjottoks (meaning "cleaver" in Norwegian) is so large that normally it would demand two hands, but Cordelia's immense strength allows her to hold it with one. Like with Tyrfing, Kjottoks has supernatural cutting power, and allows Cordelia to channel Freyja's power over Fertility and Health.

Seidr Tattoos:

Cordelia is absolutely covered in runic tattoos from head to toe. These tattoos are invisible to the naked eye, but become visible when she actually starts using magic. Her magic mostly revolves around altering fate and seeing into the future.

Epic Attributes:

Being a Scion, Cordelia has divine powers not necessarily attached to her mother. These are powers attached to her mental, physical, or social attributes, giving her superhuman strength, speed, beauty, etc. These traits are increased to demigod proportions, making the average scion capable of more than even a highly trained olympic athlete. These are her Epic Attributes from strongest to weakest:

Epic Strength:

Cordelia is strong. Incredibly strong. She can lift in excess of three hundred tons and can crush concrete like one would crush an aluminum soda can. Her strength is far beyond even the strongest men in the world, though she does have upper limits. She's nowhere near as strong as most gods, though she can go toe-to-toe with lesser gods.

Epic Stamina:

In addition to being incredibly strong, Cordelia is incredibly durable. While not exactly invulnerable to the extent other demigods are, she is still able to withstand immense amounts of punishment. She is also capable of regeneration and hardening her skin using her ichor (godly essence) to protect against bullets.

Epic Manipulation:

Cordelia had always been the type to get what she wanted. When she learned she was a Scion, she finally knew why. Cordelia is a powerful charmspeaker - meaning, she has the ability to get people to do what she says through the means of supernatural suggestion. She is so skilled with this ability that she can use it to affect multiple people.

Epic Appearance:

When you see Cordelia, you never forget what she looks like. Although this sometimes works against her (like in stealth or undercover missions), she can easily use this to her advantage. Using her goddess-like beauty, Cordelia can literally blind people with her radiance, cause people to stare helplessly at her to act as a distraction, or to induce madness with her unearthly beauty.

Divine Purviews:

Powers directly sourced from a Scion's godly parent. A Purview is more limited because the power must be channeled by an artifact. Though these powers are more limited in access, they're immense in potencey.

War:

Freyja, being a War Goddess, grants Cordelia powers conceptually tied to war. These can be abstract like manipulating an enemy's ability or willingness to fight, or direct like multiplying oneself, creating a giant war machine out of energy, or giving physical attacks the power of siege weapons.

Fertility:

Cordelia gains her mother's powers over fertility, giving her command over plants and plant growth. She can create vines, flowers, and other flora from nothing, or alter the shape of existing plants, make them more resistant to certain things, or alter their properties.

Health:

Cordelia can influence her mother's sphere of Health, which is paired with Fertility. Using this, she can manipulate the fertility and health of human beings - allowing her to afflict them with plagues or diseases, or heal them entirely. She can also cause wounds or cure them.
